A certain someone on the same course as myself this week could do with heeding the advice given in the five worst things you can do in a meeting. Specifically point number five.
I’ll be spending most of this week down in London, attending a training course from Monday to Thursday. I expect it’s going to be a bit of a slog, stuck in the lecture room all day trying to soak up some very dry stuff. Plus the heat is on back in the office right now, so I’d much rather be at my desk getting work done.
However, it’s good timing that my Auntie Helen is down visiting Cousin Iain, so I’ll get to see them one of the nights so we can have a meal. My hotel is right near Regents Street, too, so it’ll be very handy for both Leicester Square and Oxford Street should I get some time to go wandering.
I’ll check in when I get back.
I’m finding this quite good fun and worked my way to a vocab rating of 37 yesterday, but I’ve no idea whether that’s a good or a bad thing because it doesn’t tell you anywhere. A couple of words have totally thrown me, maybe because they are colloqial or something, but for each word you get right, they donate ten grains of rice through the United Nations to help end world hunger.
