PolarClock

This cool screensaver / OSX widget displays the time in a whole new light: PolarClock by PixelBreaker.

I’m not entirely sure of its value as a screen saver, what with the bright colours and all, but it is hella cool just to look at. Sort of like the Star Trek themed After Dark screensaver I had on my old 386 PC back in the mid 90’s – didn’t appear to save the screen at all, but I’d just have it on in the corner of the room to watch regardless.

Shame it’s not available as a Yahoo! Widget or I’d be all over that, too. 🙂

Gazerk

Rather late to the party, I found out via a post on iPioneer that Gazerk – a search engine for video games – has launched in beta form.

It seems to work, too – looking for “Indy Heat”, an early 90’s Amiga game in the Supersprint mould, I got a bunch of good results for what is a little known title that I absolutely loved. Gazerk could prove to be very useful indeed. 😀
