In early May, at the age of 26, Susan Torres collapsed from the effects of cancer that had spread to her brain. Susan lies in a coma, brain dead, but at 20 weeks pregnant her doctors and family are trying to keep her alive long enough that her unborn baby might stand a chance. The obvious financial strain this is placing on her family has led to the creation of a site where donations are being accepted. I had $35 sitting doing nothing in my PayPal account, so I donated it all.

Having recently become the proud owner of a new, kick–ass Evesham laptop, I needed to get WAMP set–up on it so I could do some development work. Although I’ve tackled getting the individual elements installed many times over in the past, it’s hardly a task I look forward to. So it was with great satisfaction that I discovered the XAMPP package, which installs all the key web development components you could ever need from one download. I opted for the light version, as I only really needed php, MySQL and Apache, and was very impressed with the fact that it worked exactly as advertised.

Some sound advice from Rachel Stevens. Indeed, if any hot girl tells you to keep an eye on them whilst you feel your own testicles, you shouldn’t really think twice about it. ;o)
